Code of conduct
Welcome to the Leiden Circular Science Park (“LCSP” in future text), a community of professionals working together to make Leiden Bio Science Park more sustainable.
Our Code of Conduct is here to provide a clear set of guidelines to everyone in the LCSP community about the standards to which we hold each other. We aim to ensure that this is a space where all members are respected, and where everyone can have a positive and comfortable experience.
Please make sure you also read the
Following guidelines apply to all interactions within Leiden Circular Science Park, including online forums, virtual events, and in-person gatherings. By adhering to these simple guidelines, we can create an inclusive, safe, and truly valuable experience for everyone.
1. Be respectful
At Leiden Circular Science Park, we are committed to building a safe and inclusive space for all our participants, regardless of any protected characteristic, such as sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, or sexual orientation); age; race; nationality; ethnicity; disability; religion or marital status; as well as other individual characteristics such as physical appearance, politics, or ideology.
Please be polite and considerate in your interactions with other members. Remember that we all come from different backgrounds and experiences. Listen actively, be open to diverse perspectives, and avoid interruptions. Personal insults, threats of violence, harassment, unwanted personal contact (physical or virtual), or disrupting talks or other events have no place on the website and in the community and will result in revoked LCSP membership.
2. Be relevant
There’s a lot of conversation happening in the community, so please keep your comments constructive and relevant to the topic. Before asking a question or starting a new topic, make sure that your question is not already answered. If you do have a new question, start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation. Please make sure to review section 3(b) of our Community Terms of Use for more information on acceptable use.
We are committed to high standards of validity and factuality of information in our Community. The moderators are empowered (at their discretion) to remove irrelevant or incorrect content and issue account suspensions if needed.
3. Be responsible and protect privacy
Please practice common sense and use good judgment when posting and/or interacting with others. Don’t share anything about yourself, your business, or another community member that you or they would not want to be made public, including personal information that you receive in private messages or other one-to-one communications. Don’t post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party.
Take ownership of your interactions. This includes being punctual for scheduled meetings, following through on any commitments, and being mindful of shared spaces. If you’ve exchanged contact information, be responsible in how you use it.
4. Keep in mind, this is user-generated content
LCSP website is full of user-generated content with plenty of good advice, instruction, and insight. LCSP is not responsible for the content generated by other users. Please apply the same good judgment pertaining to 3rd party content that you would apply to information anywhere on the internet.
By engaging in and contributing to LCSP you agree to follow these rules as well as the full LCSP Terms of Use.
Each account on the LCSP website must represent a single individual person. Shared accounts, company accounts (e.g., support@some_company.com), or generic accounts are not permitted. Your username and profile should represent you as an individual professional, even if you’re representing your organization.
If you recognize any violation of these guidelines or our Community Terms of Use, please notify us within the community by e-mail info@leidencircularsciencepark.
